With 20+ years in leadership development and career coaching, I've collaborated with rapid-growth startups, established SME's and conglomerates to develop leaders, focusing on both performance and wellbeing.
Born in Australia, I've lived and studied in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada and the US. My experience helps me to quickly understand your career context, co-create your development goals and support you to experiment and define your way towards achieving your professional potential.
My background in psychology and talent strategy consulting gives me a unique perspective as a professional coach, grounding me in both evidence-based practice and commercial practicalities. You'll find I'm realistic, a critical thinker, and a strong enabler of your professional development.
I'm qualified in the use of Hogan assessments, KFLA products, and I am a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and International Coach Federation (ICF).
I started coaching at Korn Ferry in Hong Kong, studying the INSEAD EMCCC programme to develop a foundation in psychodynamic theory and change. My thesis focused on the career anchors and drivers of Chinese millennials (distinction).
While consulting in Asia Pacific and North America, I honed my coaching skills, gaining the experience, mentoring and competencies to qualify as an ACC level coach with the ICF. I operate within the guidelines of the ICF code of ethics (here).
My coaching practice is evidence-based, grounded in the research and theory. The University of Sydney is a world-leader in coaching psychology, where I'm continuing to develop my Solution-Focused Cognitive-Behavioural style of coaching.
When we work together, you can expect to collaborate on defining your performance and wellness goals, and craft experiments and real-world 'homework' to fulfil your professional career potential.
I work with founders going through fundraising and parental transitions; leaders navigating corporate dynamics and identity; and emerging leaders focused on getting to the C-suite.
We can meet online or face to face, setting expectations, drafting initial career goals, and getting to know each other. I'll use questioning techniques to enable your career decision making.
Every coaching engagement is unique, however you can expect this to be a challenging, rewarding, structured, and hyper-personalised learning, career change and leadership development experience.
Alexandra has been a true enabler for me during a career change few years back. Alexandra has an incredible skillset bringing the best out of you...
Meeting and working with Alexandra has been pivotal in my professional journey. She helped me frame and reframe situations, rediscover my sense of agency.
Empathetic, yet calm and neutral, Alexandra helped me think through plans for a career change and how to overcome certain obstacles.
Has your coach told you they use a cognitive behavioural approach? Wondering what that means?! Here's my view on the benefits of this approach in coaching.
Why most Founders don’t put their attention on this important early growth lever.
When you’re thinking about starting a coaching engagement, if you’ve never had coaching before it can feel a bit mysterious. What does it look and feel like inside that relationship?
In the spirit of reconciliation I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. I pay my respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
